Traditions builds some of the most popular break-action muzzleloaders in the country, and the Vortek StrikerFire is their distinctive design that replaces a conventional hammer with a cocking mechanism at the rear of the receiver — quiet to cock and easy to de-cock without dropping a hammer on a live charge.

This .50-caliber build wears Realtree Edge camo. Break-action loading and a removable breech plug make cleaning far simpler than traditional in-line designs, which matters given how corrosive blackpowder substitutes can be.
