A factory 10-round rotary magazine in .22 LR for Savage's semi-auto and bolt-action rimfire rifles. The rotary design is the reason these feed so smoothly — cartridges are held in individual positions rather than stacked, which keeps delicate rimfire rounds properly aligned and eliminates the rim-lock problems that plague stack-fed .22 magazines. Rimfire shooting burns through ammo fast, and swapping a loaded spare beats thumbing rounds in one at a time between strings. Keeping two or three in the range bag is one of the cheapest upgrades you can make to a day of plinking or small game hunting.
