Proof's process wraps a match-grade steel liner in carbon fiber, producing a barrel with the stiffness of a heavy contour at a fraction of the weight and better heat dissipation than steel alone.

The .284 bore covers the full family of 7mm cartridges, which have become dominant in long-range hunting and competition thanks to their exceptional ballistic coefficients.
