Magpul's extended rubber butt-pad adds 0.55 inches of length of pull to compatible Magpul stocks, which sounds trivial until you shoot a rifle that does not fit you. Length of pull affects head position, eye relief, and how naturally the rifle comes up, and shooters with longer arms or those running plate carriers often find factory stocks come up short.
