The Vudu 1-8x24 is EOTech's low-power variable, and it is built for the job most fighting and competition rifles actually need: true 1x for both-eyes-open speed up close, and enough magnification at the top end to identify and hit targets well past where an unmagnified dot runs out of usefulness. The illuminated green HC3 reticle gives you a fast aiming point at 1x and finer references when you crank it up. EOTech's glass and coatings hold up in bad light, and the second focal plane design keeps the reticle a consistent visual size across the range.
