Crimson Trace's Laserguard for the Ruger MAX-9 mounts to the pistol's trigger guard and adds a red aiming laser without meaningfully changing the gun's carry profile. Activation is instinctive: gripping the pistol naturally depresses the front-mounted switch, so the laser comes on as you present without any extra step. On a micro-compact carry pistol with a short sight radius, a laser is genuinely useful in low light, from awkward positions, or when you cannot get a clean sight picture. Holsters for the MAX-9 with light or laser cuts are widely available.
