This is the high-resolution version of ATN's flagship thermal riflescope, running a 640x512 sensor rather than the 384 unit found in the standard models - roughly four times the thermal pixels, which shows up directly as cleaner images at magnification, better target identification, and longer practical detection range. The 2-16x magnification range starts wide enough to sweep a field and reaches far enough for a deliberate shot. Thermal detects heat rather than amplifying light, so it works in complete darkness, through smoke and light brush, and during the day, which is why it has become the standard tool for nocturnal hog and predator hunting. HD video recording and ballistic calculation are onboard.
