This configuration runs a 384x288 sensor with a 2.5-20x magnification range, which is the practical middle ground for hog and predator work - wide enough at the bottom end to find heat signatures across a field, magnified enough at the top to make a confident shot placement call. Thermal does something no night vision device can: it detects heat rather than amplifying light, so it works in total darkness, through light brush, and in daylight. Onboard HD video recording, ballistic calculation, and a rechargeable internal battery are part of the package.
