AAC's Blackout flash hider has been a staple on 5.56 rifles for years, and the reason is straightforward: it does an excellent job of killing muzzle flash without the concussive side blast of a brake, and the closed-bottom design reduces dust signature when shooting prone.

It threads onto standard 1/2x28 muzzles and also serves as a mounting interface for AAC's compatible fast-attach suppressors, so it does double duty if a can is in your future.
