The Winchester SX4 is a gas-operated semi-automatic shotgun using Winchester Active Valve system, engineered to cycle a broad spectrum of loads without adjustment and to keep running in cold, wet, and dirty conditions. Compared with the SX3 before it, the SX4 trimmed weight, slimmed the grip, and enlarged the controls for gloved hands.

This is the left-hand version, with the ejection port and controls mirrored so southpaws are not fighting the gun or catching hulls across their face. It is chambered in 12 gauge with a 3.5-inch chamber and a 28-inch barrel in black synthetic, capable of everything from light target loads to heavy waterfowl and turkey magnums.
