Taylor's and Company specializes in faithful reproductions of Old West firearms, and the Drifter is their single-action revolver done right: blued steel, wood grips, and a 5.5-inch barrel in .357 Magnum. The 5.5-inch length is the classic compromise between the fast-handling 4.75-inch gun and the sight radius of the 7.5-inch, which is why it remains a favorite for both Cowboy Action shooting and field carry. Chambered in .357 Magnum, it also shoots .38 Special, making practice affordable while leaving full magnum authority available for hunting or trail use.
