TriStar has carved out a niche building capable over/unders that make a two-barrel gun realistic for hunters who would otherwise be stuck with a pump. The Cypher is chambered in 28 gauge with 28-inch barrels, blued metalwork and a walnut stock, handling 3-inch shells.

The 28 gauge is the connoisseur's upland round: light in recoil, delightfully quick between the hands, and far more effective on quail, dove and preserve birds than its small bore suggests. Paired with an over/under's instant choke selection, it makes a genuinely enjoyable field and clays gun.
