TriStar's Viper G2 has quietly become one of the best values in the semi-auto shotgun market — a gas-operated autoloader that cycles a wide range of loads and comes standard with the features other makers charge extra for, including multiple choke tubes and a shim kit for adjusting stock fit.

This is a left-hand model, which matters more than it sounds: a true left-hand receiver ejects away from the shooter's face instead of across it. It's a 12 gauge with a 28-inch barrel, a 3-inch chamber and full Realtree Max-7 camouflage coverage — a pattern built for waterfowl. Southpaw hunters rarely get this much gun at this level.
