This is Trijicon's factory cover for the MRO red dot, with a clear flip cap on the objective end. It's a small item that does two useful jobs: the cover protects the housing and lenses from scuffs and debris in a case or a truck, and the clear flip cap means you can leave the front cap closed and still shoot through it if a bird flushes or a shot presents itself before you can flip it open.

The MRO's large objective and wide field of view are much of why people like it, and keeping the glass clean is what preserves that. Black finish, fits the standard MRO.
