Tapco's Diamond Micro Brake threads onto any 1/2x28 muzzle, the standard pattern for .223 and 5.56 AR-15 barrels and many .22 caliber rifles. Its job is straightforward: redirect escaping gas sideways to counteract muzzle rise, so the sights settle faster between shots and follow-ups come quicker.

The micro profile adds very little length or weight compared to a full-size brake, which keeps a carbine balanced and handy. Black finished steel construction.
