One of the strongest arguments for the Thompson/Center Encore platform is that a single frame can become an entirely different gun with a barrel swap, and this is one of those barrels. It converts an Encore into a 12 gauge with a 3-inch chamber, fluted and rifled for slug use, in a 26-inch blued configuration.

A rifled slug barrel makes a real difference with modern sabot slugs, tightening groups dramatically over a smoothbore and extending practical range for slug-only deer seasons. Installation takes only the standard Encore barrel change, so one frame covers your rifle and slug hunting.
