The Savage B17F Compact chambers the flat-shooting .17 HMR in a bolt-action sized for smaller-framed shooters, with an 18-inch barrel, black synthetic stock, and a detachable rotary magazine that feeds smoothly and sits flush with the stock line. The .17 HMR is a devastating small-game and varmint cartridge, sending tiny bullets at rimfire-record velocities for pinpoint accuracy on prairie dogs and ground squirrels well past typical .22 LR distances. Savage adds its adjustable AccuTrigger, a genuine rarity on rimfires at this price.
