SureFire's tri-lug adapter converts a 1/2x36 threaded muzzle — the standard pattern on most 9mm barrels — into a three-lug mounting interface, allowing compatible SureFire suppressors and muzzle devices to be attached and removed with a quick quarter-turn. Tri-lug remains one of the fastest and most repeatable quick-detach systems in use, which is why it is so common on submachine guns and pistol-caliber carbines.

Machined from heat-treated stainless steel to SureFire's usual tolerances, it installs on the host barrel and stays put, letting you move a can between guns in seconds.
