The TLR-6 solved a real problem: subcompact carry pistols like the GLOCK 42 and 43 have no accessory rail, so most weapon lights simply won't fit. Streamlight's answer clamps around the trigger guard, adding a 100-lumen LED and a red aiming laser in a package small enough that the gun still holsters and still carries. Ambidextrous push buttons let you run light only, laser only, or both. It runs on coin cell batteries rather than requiring a charge, which suits something that mostly sits in a holster waiting. For a pocket-sized defensive pistol, it's the practical way to get target identification into the equation.
