This is a Proof Research carbon fiber barrel blank in .284 caliber, 20 inches, in the Sendero Light contour, intended for a gunsmith to chamber and fit to your action. Proof's process wraps a match-grade steel core in aerospace carbon fiber, which cuts weight dramatically against a comparable steel contour while improving heat dissipation, so the barrel holds its point of impact through longer strings than a thin steel profile would.

The Sendero Light contour is a popular middle ground for custom hunting and lightweight precision builds. Chambering, threading and headspacing must be performed by a qualified gunsmith.
