The X-22 Backpacker forend is the front half of Magpul's stock system for the Ruger 10/22 Takedown, and it is the piece that makes the whole concept work. Combined with the Backpacker stock, it lets the rifle break down and store the two halves clipped together with a spare magazine, making a genuinely packable survival and camp rifle.
