The Mossberg Patriot has become a go-to working rifle for hunters who want real features at a fair price, and this Compact model in .22-250 Remington is a flat-shooting varmint and predator rig. The 18-inch threaded barrel keeps the package handy in a truck or blind and welcomes a suppressor, while the shorter length of pull fits smaller-framed shooters and youth hunters perfectly. Mossberg's LBA adjustable trigger lets you dial the pull to your liking, and the fluted bolt runs smoothly. Chambered in one of the classic high-velocity varmint cartridges, it is a coyote's worst nightmare.
