The EOTech EXPS3 is the holographic sight that became standard issue across much of the special operations community, and the DCR variant adds a single quick-detach lever and side-mounted buttons that keep the controls clear when a magnifier sits behind it. This unit is finished in tan and runs on a single CR123 battery.

Holographic sights differ from reflex red dots in how the reticle is generated, which is why EOTech's 68 MOA ring with a 1 MOA center dot stays usable even if the front window is partially obstructed or cracked. Night vision compatible settings are included for use with image intensifiers.
