This is a factory detachable box magazine for Derya Arms DY-series 12 gauge shotguns, the magazine-fed semi-autos that have become popular for tactical shotgun matches, home defense and high-volume range work. Having spares on hand is the entire point of a magazine-fed shotgun: you can stage loads ahead of time, swap between buckshot and slugs without unloading the tube, and keep running while you top off empties. Factory magazines matter more on shotguns than on rifles, since shell dimensions and feed geometry are far less forgiving of aftermarket guesswork.
