The Byrna SD is a CO2-powered .68 caliber launcher designed as a less-lethal personal defense option. It is compact enough to keep in a nightstand, a vehicle console, or a bag, and it operates without the licensing requirements that apply to firearms in most jurisdictions, making it an option for people who want a defensive tool but cannot or prefer not to carry a gun.

This kinetic kit is loaded out with solid impact projectiles rather than chemical rounds, and the orange body clearly distinguishes it from a firearm.
