A two-piece Weaver-style scope base set from Burris in black, cut to fit Ruger M77 receivers. Burris has been making mounting hardware for decades and the Xtreme Tactical line is built for rifles that recoil hard and get treated roughly, with steel construction and proper heat treatment rather than soft alloy. Moving a Ruger to a Weaver or Picatinny footprint opens up the entire aftermarket of rings, which is worth a great deal if you already have a preferred ring system. Solid mounting is the least glamorous and most common cause of accuracy problems.
