This is a factory Barrett magazine for the Model 95 bolt-action rifle, holding five rounds of .50 BMG in a black steel body. Magazines for .50 BMG rifles are substantial pieces of hardware in their own right, and feed lip geometry has to be exactly right to control a cartridge this large and heavy through the feeding cycle. Barrett has built its reputation on making .50 caliber rifles work reliably where the tolerances are unforgiving, and using factory magazines is the only sensible approach. A necessary spare for anyone shooting a Model 95 seriously.
